The Health Benefits Of Traditional Chinese Medicine!


Traditional Chinese medicine has existed in China for more than 3,000 years . It includes acupuncture, Qigong , herbs, deep massage and much more. More than 25% of the world population uses traditional Chinese medicine.

The ancient Chinese believed that life energy Qi circulates in us through the meridians that correspond to various organs in the body. The force that drives qi is constantly moving between two poles yin and yang.

Normally, in healthy people, the life force Qi circulates evenly, maintaining a balance between the strong elements of yang and yin . If this movement is disrupted, the body will be compromised balance and people can get sick.



By applying the experiential knowledge that has been around for thousand of years, the therapist activates specific points on the meridians and restore the balance of yin-yang. These points are called acupuncture points and are activated by needles (acupuncture), or finger pressure (acupressure). Like other forms of holistic medicine, and in Chinese medicine emphasizes the connection between the body, mind and spirit, and their relationship with the environment.


Chinese medicine goal is to maintain good health and overall satisfaction, as well as disease prevention, while at the same time its a form of diagnosis and way of treatment. A man is seen as being created by nature and as such is subject to the laws of nature. The man is being treated as a “continent”.

This is the reason why the use of this medicine heals and soothes, some incurable diseases. Basic methods that developed in Chinese medicine are:

herbal medicine

Qigong  is also a very important part of traditional Chinese medicine. Qigong involves postures, meditation and slow, deliberate movements of the body.

In Chinese medicine, nutrition is also a form of therapy. All foods have a certain role, although their effect is considerably weaker than the effect of medicinal plants. Foods are divided according to taste, temperature operation, belonging to a particular functional area and the amount of energy they contain.

Chinese medicine claims that dietetics play an important role in disease prevention, and it is an great upgrade to acupuncture and phytotherapy. Diet adapts to not only the disorder, but also the time of year.

Many reputable organizations like the World Health Organization  and the National Institute of Health recognized the value of Chinese medicine and is considered to be a very effective alternative to modern methods of treatment.
